In the spring of 1998, Pacific Trading Cards produced The Paramount, a 250-card set featuring today's best players and tomorrow's budding stars. Pacific's Paramount, along with 1998 Aurora, was one of the first English-only baseball card releases, and so was not licensed by MLB Properties. A full-bleed action photo of the player was on the front, along with the team he played for and his name in silver foil.A second color portrait, as well as comprehensive year-by-year career data and a bio, are included on the backs.
