Topps Allen and Ginter, first introduced in 2006, soon became a fan favorite among the company's products. With a total of 300 base cards, 50 short prints, an autograph, and game-used inserts, each set offered a diverse collection for collectors to enjoy.Rip Cards were an exclusive innovation introduced by Topps Allen and Ginter. Each card possesses the ability to be opened, unveiling a hidden surprise such as a rare red ink autograph, a limited edition small unique card, a wooden counterpart, or an original card. Typically, one rip card was included in each case. In 2014, the concept of Double Rip Cards was introduced, offering even more excitement and possibilities.
Topps has a long history of including mini cards with autographs or game-used minis in their retro-tobacco themed sets. This tradition continued with Topps Allen and Ginter, which featured both autographs and game-used memorabilia. Additionally, original A and G cards were included in packs, framed similarly to the relic and autographed cards. Allen and Ginter is also recognized for their box topper insert sets of slightly oversized cards, along with low serial number autographs and game-used cards.
