The Morrell Company manufactured the 1954 Red Heart set, which was distributed locally with Red Heart brand dog food. Each series was given a distinct solid backdrop color behind the player's portrait, in either blue, green, or red, and was issued in three separate series of 11 unnumbered cards. The red-backed cards are the most difficult of the three.A diamond-shaped box with the player's name appears below the player, and his team name is given at the bottom. A biography, statistics, and the Red Heart insignia are printed on the back.
